Villa Yannoula
Tucked away at the quieter ‘old town’ end of the harbourside, Villa Yiannoula would be ideal for those who want to be in town but without having to climb all those back-street steps! It is a spacious house for 3 or 4 persons (or up to 6 if a family with smaller children) in a wonderful location overlooking the small boat harbour. Your nearest taverna is just below.
The house has been completely refurbished to the highest standards. It has a slightly quirky layout as it results from the conversion of two adjoining houses into one large property.
Built on three levels, the top floor has two bedrooms: The front bedroom has two single beds (one of which is a built in bed which can double as a couch), and French doors onto the large upper terrace, which has superb views of the harbour, out to sea, and to the mountains opposite. There is a wooden table and directors chairs here, with a pergola with bamboo giving shade.The second bedroom is the main bedroom of the house and is very light and airy. This has h a double bed and wardrobe, and has french windows onto the side balcony which also accesses the large front top terrace. It also has airconditioning. Also on the top floor is a small bathroom, which is fully tiled and which has a hip bath with shower attachment, and WC.
On the middle floor there are two sitting rooms; the largest of these is at the front of the house, and has a comfy sofa-bed, wicker chairs and dining table. French windows open onto the lower front terrace which has sunloungers, sun umbrella and the same great views as the top terrace. The second living room has another sofa-bed, a traditional carved wooden Skopeliti couch and an ornate fireplace. From here wooden steps lead down to the lower floor kitchen, which is very well equipped for self catering and which has mini-oven and fridge-freezer.Just outside the kitchen is an extra bathroom with shower and WC.
Villa Yiannoula is ideal for those wanting everything close to hand, with the bonus of superb views from its two large terraces.
