Pirgos House
Pirgos is a beautiful verdant area of Skopelos, with expanses of pine forest interspersed with olive groves and fruit orchards, an approximate 20 minute drive on paved road from Skopelos town. This cottage is a converted traditional kalivi with super views over the valley of Karia and out to sea. The interiors are simply furnished but with all modern comforts, but its real assets are the very spacious and private outside terraces, and its swimming pool.There are several different sitting-out areas so you can choose from sun or shade at all times of the day, around the house's own pool. The house's gardens are planted with hibiscus, geraniums, grapevines and fig, cypress, chestnut, pine and olive trees. The house is very private-there are no neighbouring houses overlooking the terraces, and the country road which lies below the property sees very little traffic, so this property enjoys real tranquillity,
The house comprises; an open plan living-dining room with fully equipped kitchen at one end. This room is very light with windows on all sides, and front and back doors giving a cooling through-breeze, but for extra-hot days it also has airconditioning. The living area has a carved wooden couch and sofa seating, and there is a TV, DVD and CD player. The kitchen has modern fitted units, and is equipped with minioven with electric rings, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and coffee percolator.From the living room doors open onto a front covered terrace with table and directors chairs. This has lovely views of the rolling landscape and out to sea. The back door opens onto the rear covered terrace and from there you access the large sunny terraces around the pool.
Also leading off from the kitchen are; the bedroom which has double bed, wooden floors and ceiling, a traditional corner fireplace and access to the front terrace ; and the fully tiled bathroom with hipbath-shower.
For parties of more than two, the house has an extra bedroom on the lower floor of the property, which has two single beds. This is a very cool room, with stoneflagged floors and a high pitched timber ceiling. There is also a second fully tiled bathrom with shower and WC, and washing machine.

The pool measures 7 x 3.5 metres with depth 1.6
metres.
